چکیده
Abstract INTRODUCTION This study aimed to understand how ASD symptoms may relate different sleep problems. METHODS 128 parents of children with aged 4-14 participated in an anonymous survey. Parents completed the Short Sensory Profile (SSP), Children Sleep Habits Questionnaire (CSHQ), Strengths and Weaknesses Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity-symptoms Normal-behaviours (SWAN) Revised Child Anxiety Depression Scale (RCADS). It was hypothesised that: 1) hyper-sensitivity indicated by SSP, would be positively correlated night waking from CSHQ; 2) at risk Delayed Phase Syndrome (DSPS), CSHQ, more light sensitive as SSP; 3) anxiety measured RCADS longer Onset Latency (SOL) 4) hyperactivity inattentiveness SWAN SOL parasomnias CSHQ. RESULTS Results revealed: under-responsivity low energy SSP were (r = -.31 r .36, p < .05). DSPS demonstrated greater sensitivity than those not (t (55) 2.83, .01); SOL; Hyperactivity inattention related .25 .61, .05) .29, DISCUSSION These findings suggest that problems symptomology, symptom-based approaches should considered for future research.
